- The BodyGraph is the central tool in Human Design, resembling a detailed map of your energy centers and channels. It is created using your birth date, time, and place, displaying your unique energy configuration.
Energy Types:
- There are four main energy types in Human Design: Generators, Projectors, Manifestors, and Reflectors. Each type has a specific strategy for interacting with the world and making decisions:
- Generators: Comprising the majority of the population, Generators have a sustainable energy source and are here to find work that they love and are passionate about.
- Projectors: Projectors are guides and natural leaders who excel in managing and directing others’ energy.
- Manifestors: Manifestors are initiators, capable of making things happen and bringing new ideas into the world.
- Reflectors: Reflectors are the rarest type, acting as mirrors to their community, reflecting the health and wellbeing of their environment.

Authority:
- Your Authority is your inner decision-making tool, guiding you to make choices that are in alignment with your true self. It varies based on your BodyGraph and can include emotional, sacral, splenic, ego, self-projected, or lunar authorities.
Profile:
- The Profile represents the role you are here to play in life, combining two of the 12 possible archetypal lines to describe your personality and interaction style.
Centers:
- There are nine centers in the BodyGraph, akin to the chakras. These centers can be defined (colored) or undefined (white), indicating whether you have consistent access to specific energies and traits.
Gates and Channels:
- Gates are specific points within the centers that relate to particular traits and potentials. Channels are the pathways connecting the gates, representing the flow of energy between different aspects of your personality.
